Eight nonprofit organizations partnered to create GFTH 2018.
Over 1200 gifts were collected from gift registries and toy drives,
or purchased with cash donations.
Book drives by Viera Books-A-Million and the Viera Women's Club
allowed us to give away one book per child.
Over 30 new bicycles were donated.
Parents from 115 families purchased gifts for their children this Christmas.
304 children received three gifts each, plus a book.
39% of the children were 12-18 years old.
45% of the children were from Club Esteem; 22% from Neighbor Up Brevard;
8% from Community of Hope; 5% each from Brevard Rescue Mission and Love INC;
4% from Family Promise of Brevard and Habitat for Humanity;
and 2% from Eckerd Connects.
These numbers reflects the varying sizes of our respective programs,
as well as experience with GFTH.
The Shop was open a total of six (6) days, including two Saturdays.
Proceeds from GFTH 2017 provided for a seasonal part time manager
and assistant manager for GFTH 2018.
Our staff was assisted by 45 amazing volunteers who priced and shelved toys,
decorated the shop, provided customer service, and wrapped gifts.
We are so thankful for all the donors, Giving Tree sponsors,
and volunteers who made GFTH Christmas Shop 2018 a success!
